  I heard the news today at work where there has become a small loyal 
following of Mr. Gorey's work so we all had a sort of moment of silence for 
his passing.
  Edward Gorey has a weird impact on my life. Most of the new people that I 
have met have all either liked Edward Gorey or after being introduced to him 
through me instantly fall in love him which is how I was introduced to him.  
There is a clear visible chain of Edward Gorey fans and I am saddened that 
we will not be able to enjoy more work from him but I can say that all of us 
will treasure what there is.
